Riccardo Raul Papavero inherits from his mother, an established artist, the interest in art in all its forms. He travels in Europe, Africa and South America with the voracious curiosity of someone who wants to discover and learn about the art of diversity. The need to deal with new artistic expressions leads him to the creation of multi-material collages: the beginning of the adventure takes place halfway between play and chance... In 2003 the strenuous search for the poster of Buffalo 66, Vincent's niche film Gallo, takes him to wander around the shops and dissect Gallo's film to bring it back to life on wood. He selects, splits and decomposes the individual frames, reworking them in a collage that blends painting and digital printing, craftsmanship and new technologies. Thus the game becomes an indispensable passion and, over time, an experimental laboratory. The incessant search for materials and the continuous revolution of artistic concepts lead him to create strongly characterized works: the technique is refined, the materials bind by harmony or contrast and the works seem to build themselves.
