Born in Italy, Rosso has lived and worked in London since 2004. She holds a Masters in International Communications and Human Rights from the City University of London (UK) and worked in marketing and advertising before changing her career direction to the arts visual. Her work has been featured in Colossal, Evolved Mag, MyModernMet, Artists & Illustrator; The Artist's Magazine, etc. and on the cover of Arena Magazine (Australia) and is currently held in private collections worldwide. She is currently represented by Sugarlift (New York, USA) and ZebraOne (London, UK). Finalist at the “Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize” 2021; winning the “Jackson Open Painting Prize 2019 (JOPP2019)” for the Portrait/Figure category; “The Harbor Gallery Award” and “The Artist's Exhibition Award” (TALP Open 2019); “The Holly Bush Emerging Woman Painter Prize 2017” and “Emerald Winter Pride Art Award” in 2016. In portraying her, London-based artist Rosso Emerald Crimson renders female subjects who emerge through a haze of pastels and muted tones. Issues of racial justice, gender inequality, and environmental crises have all played an important role in her recent work.
