Short Bio

Enrico Minguzzi (Cotignola, Ravenna, 1981), after graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna with a thesis entitled The inactuality of painting, moved to Milan where, in 2008, he held his first solo exhibition, Liqueforme, at the Studio d’Arte Cannaviello. Since then, his works have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions, including: Ultimi paesaggi, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Imola (2019), Pittori fantastici nella Valle del Po, PAC, Ferrara (2020), Senza Figura, curated by Nicola Samori, Monitor gallery, Pereto (2021), Fluoritura, Nuova Galleria Morone, Milan (2021), La piena dell’occhio, curated by Saverio Verini, Ex Convento di San Francesco, Bagnacavallo (2022). He has created site-specific projects and residencies at Areacreativa42, Rivarolo Torinese (2019) and Museo Civico Luigi Varoli, Cotignola (2020), where the new cycle of “still life” originated. After receiving awards and special mentions, including the DAMS Award, curated by Renato Barilli, and the National Arts Award, in 2022 he won the third prize of the VAF Foundation Artistic Award and his works became part of the VAF Stiftung Collection. Since 2014 he has lived in Bagnacavallo where, in parallel with his artistic work, he develops projects that combine musical research, visual arts and territorial investigation, collaborating with MAGMA, a collective of which he is a founding member.
