A visual artist based in New York, Luis uses collage as a stream of consciousness to explore unpublished narratives and visual synchronicities. Creator of the concept of “Art Engineer”, Martin asserts the artist’s power to design and “engineer” new self-defined realities through the appropriation and layering
of images. His work focuses on identity and the excesses of pop culture, transforming the familiar into altered perspectives. Through a sophisticated use of visual codes, his work acts as a critical mirror of contemporary life, inviting the observer to rediscover the familiar in a new and distorted light.
